The Illinois Economic Policy Institute (ILEPI) is hiring!
ILEPI seeks one (1) qualified candidate to employ as a part-time Communications Intern. The duties and responsibilities of the position will approximately be divided as follows: 70% to social media and digital communications, 20% to public relations, and 10% to relationship-building and policy influence tasks.
The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree with coursework in communications, digital communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, English, political science, public policy, economics, sociology, or a related field. Effective communications skills, both orally and in writing, are required. Experience with media production in web development, graphic design, photography, and/or video production and editing is also necessary.
Experience with political campaigns, economic justice campaigns, labor unions, and/or the construction industry is a plus. Experience with Canva, InDesign, Photoshop, and similar platforms is a plus. Fluency in Spanish is also a plus.
