The December 2025 Edition of ILEPI’s newsletter, Illinois Insights, has been released.

This Edition highlights recent events and a new report from ILEPI.

• ILEPI has been busy at recent events! We hosted our annual Springfield seminar and fundraiser, attended and presented at the National Alliance for Fair Contracting Annual Conference, and presented at EARNCon.
• By 2025’s end, President Trump’s project cancellations, funding cuts, and mass federal layoffs are projected to drain nearly $8 billion annually from Illinois families, shrink the state’s economy by $10 billion, eliminate 86,000 jobs, and leave hundreds of thousands without health or food assistance, according to a new study by ILEPI and Project for Middle Class Renewal (PMCR).
