Among the Illinois Economic Policy Institute’s many goals of 2016 is to have a more active presence online. That starts today, almost a month into the calendar year.

Once every week or two, ILEPI Policy Director Frank Manzo IV will publish a “Frankonomics” post, which is an unabashed play on the Freakonomics books, website, and podcasts of Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner.

The plan for “Frankonomics” is to discuss a broad range of topics that are of interest to the Policy Director and will typically, though not always, align with ILEPI’s Focus Areas. The format of the posts will also vary– from summaries of ILEPI publications to fact checks to examinations of the costs or benefits of particular policies.
