The Summer 2018 Edition of ILEPI’s newsletter, Illinois Insights, has been released.

The Illinois Economic Policy Institute (ILEPI) has released the Summer 2018 Edition of our quarterly newsletter, Illinois Insights. In this edition, we discuss the only study that assesses the impact of the Supreme Court’s decision on Janus v. AFSCME, which was conducted by ILEPI and the Project for Middle Class Renewal at the University of Illinois.  The report was written about in The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, and Fox News. The Summer edition also dives into our report on the Chicago minimum wage hikes – which have already boosted incomes for 330,000 Chicago workers!

As always, we updated Illinois’ economic indicators. The State saw an increase of over 58,000 jobs from June 2017 to June 2018.
